The Baseline Test is designed to target areas of need for flexible grouping in guided reading. Our department will be meeting Friday morning of the first week of school to discuss the data we collect the first week on your child's scores. I will place your child in a group on Friday for the first story. If you would like to know your child's reading group please call or email me and I will be glad to talk with you about what the data indicated.

*INFORMATION on assignments, tests, class discussions, etc. is located under Unit 1. Please go over with your child to help him or her throughout their reading adventure. Please visit STI with your student number for weekly test and assignment dates. *AGENDAS will be updated weekly by each student. Please assist your child with preparing for tests and assignments by referring to their agenda.

Every Monday starting Aug. 16th your child will take home a FAMILY TIMES paper to review for homework. This is a parent/child resource for you to see the weekly story, vocabulary words, comprehension skill, grammar skill and spelling words for each week. Students are expected to review the information on the FAMILY TIMES on Monday and Tuesday nights. I ask you to sign the paper after you and your child reviewed the material on the paper. Please feel free to email me or call if you have any questions.

Please send me your email address and contact information to update you on my wiki.
